No, just wear a tampon and take some advil if you need to just in case of cramps.

Seems like it should be okay as long as you aren’t doing your lessons in water with fish and sharks. Otherwise, you might wonder why that shark is following you lol.
You will be perfectly fine. Just use a tampon, it’s the same when you go swimming. As for taking anything, well you will learn about the effects of diving on medication.
I just completed my padi open water course and started my cycle half way through. Nothing changed.
